The Ormonde
This 12-story landmark renovation project is situated on a prime corner on the Upper West Side. CMA is completing all the required upgrades while the building maintains its fully occupied status. The major scope of work includes adding a new 12-story cast in place concrete elevator shaft in the existing courtyard to accommodate two new MRL passenger elevators. Once complete the existing passenger elevators will be converted to a new larger freight elevator. In addition, the first and second floor renovations will include a double height lobby with a monumental curved staircase highlighted by a new custom fabricated skylight spanning the entire courtyard on the second floor. The building is also undergoing major upgrades to their mechanical systems, including a new switchgear and boiler system. The bronze storefront and masonry façade along the entire first floor is being restored as per Landmark’s specifications. The project also includes the complete fit out of a new restaurant.
